We are home in case anyone was wondering!!

Arrived in Golden yesterday about 2:00 from Rawlins.  Staying at the city park right on the river.  Really a pretty setting, the sun just broke out (finally) and we can see snow on the nearby hills.  Spending 2 nites here visiting Kathie’s friend.

Second day driving in blowing snow..from 50 miles west of Laramie, then south to the Colorado border on 287. (Drove by a couple of spinout wrecks on 287 and I-80 was closed from Laramie to Cheyenne).  That wasn’t the worst, I-25 which we hit at Fort Collins makes California I-80 look smooth as silk.  Big potholes and zero visibility in a light rain due to the tire spray.

Next stop Goodland, Ks for an overniter.  I want to show Kathie where I spent my summers as a little kid with my grandmother and aunt in St. Francis.
